Redirect after user login

description

Hi I love the skin and deployed on my site. However has anyone had an issues with user redirect at login. I have been reading up as much as possible on this and some suggest that a skin can cause the redirect to not work properly.
A redirect works fine on logout but on login it will always take me to the home page.
I have no splash page set or defined
In admin / manage useraccounts / login I have set the redirect for users who successfully login to show a new page in this case I called it regusers to save any issues with confusion over the welcome page name.
I then set redirect after log out to my home page. The latter works fine but the redirect on login always takes me to the default home page when a user logs in.
I am running on DNN 7.3.4 but was running on previous version prior to updates and had the same problem then.

No Reply over month, it seems to be no issue to the Skin package.

Hi Steve,

basicly a Skin can be the issue if it uses an other jQuery Version or special JavaScript code that efected the Login controls. Both are not uses on the Metro Skin, so I think it have to do with any other thinks.

First check the DNN Version and Skin Version - Skin Version must be the same or lower as the DNN Version. Check DNN Host Settings if the Instance is used an other (CDN) as the Basic jQuery Version that is shiped with DNN.

Check if not needed Microsoft Frameworks are installed, I know some issues with Windows Identity Foundation, and the Windows Communication Framework that makes the descripted issue on DNN if they ar or where installed on the Webserver. Uninstalling of them leaves the Settings into the config files of IIS.

Hope this helps to solve your issue. please replay to this issue item if you solve the issue or Need more help.

Best Greatings

Thanks for the reply, I did not want to start any work on this if there was a known issue. I will do as you suggested and then take it from there and see if I can find what is causing it and of course if I do sort it I will certainly get back to you on here with the details. Kind regards Steve

So if there is no comment since November 2014 it Looks as this wasn't any issue related by this Skin. So if there will not be any new comment in the next days I want to Close this issue.

Regards

Matthias
